Warehouse solar panels across West Midlands
We survey industrial and distribution roofs throughout West Midlands, model what each one can carry, and arrange the design, the grid application and the install through our MCS-certified partner.

What the data says about West Midlands
Modelled yield is not flat across West Midlands. Coventry comes out at 868 kWh per kWp a year against 839 at Wolverhampton, a spread of 29 kWh per kWp. On a 500 kWp array that difference is about 14,500 kWh a year, which is worth checking before you accept a generic saving figure.
The larger roofs in West Midlands follow the freight routes. Across the towns we cover that means M6 J6, M5 J1, M42 J6, A38(M), A45 and M6 J2, which is where single-let distribution stock concentrates.
The government's planning database records 195 solar schemes in West Midlands totalling 533 MW, of which 3 are already operational and 17 of the schemes in our covered postcode districts are roof mounted. Source: Renewable Energy Planning Database, Q1 2026.
Connections across the county run through National Grid Electricity Distribution. Anything above 3.68 kW per phase needs a G99 application, and the export limit they offer shapes the design, so we ask the question before the array is sized rather than after.
- Birmingham 854 kWh/kWp
- Coventry 868 kWh/kWp
- Wolverhampton 839 kWh/kWp
- Solihull 860 kWh/kWp
- West Bromwich 852 kWh/kWp

- Dudley 845 kWh/kWp
- Sutton Coldfield 852 kWh/kWp
