Who we are, and who puts the panels on
Lenzie Consulting Ltd publishes this site. We are not an installer and we do not pretend to be one. We do the part that happens before the scaffold arrives: the roof survey, the yield model, the grid application and the funding comparison. The installation is carried out by our MCS-certified partner.
What we do and what we do not
We arrange
The survey, the array layout, the yield model against your own consumption, the network operator application, and a comparison of buying outright, funding the asset or taking a power purchase agreement. That work costs you nothing and carries no obligation.
Our partner installs
Design sign-off, scaffold, mounting, electrical work, commissioning and the MCS certificate sit with the installer, who is certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme and carries the relevant insurances. They quote you directly and they hold the contract with you.
How we are paid
The installer pays us a commission on work they invoice. You pay the same price either way, and we have no product to push, which is why we are willing to tell you when a roof is not worth doing yet.
Why we publish the data rather than stock photography
Every location page on this site carries the modelled yield for that latitude from the European Commission's PVGIS service, the distribution network operator that handles connections in that county, and the solar schemes already on record nearby in the government's Renewable Energy Planning Database. We currently publish 296 town pages across 48 counties.
The mean modelled yield across those towns is 886 kWh per kWp a year. We show that figure because it is the honest frame for any savings claim: a roof in Cornwall and a roof in Cumbria are not the same asset, and a quote that ignores the difference is guessing.
Where a town has nothing locally specific to say, it does not get an indexed page. That is a deliberate choice, and it is why the location list is shorter than the list of towns in the UK.
Who writes this
Matt Lenzie runs Lenzie Consulting Ltd (company 08174104), working across commercial property, asset finance and renewable energy assets. The commentary here draws on that work: how landlords and occupiers actually decide, what a funder needs to see, and where a scheme falls over on lease length or roof condition rather than on the technology.
