Warehouse solar panels across West Yorkshire
We survey industrial and distribution roofs throughout West Yorkshire, model what each one can carry, and arrange the design, the grid application and the install through our MCS-certified partner.

What the data says about West Yorkshire
Modelled yield is not flat across West Yorkshire. Pontefract comes out at 846 kWh per kWp a year against 811 at Huddersfield, a spread of 35 kWh per kWp. On a 500 kWp array that difference is about 17,500 kWh a year, which is worth checking before you accept a generic saving figure.
The larger roofs in West Yorkshire follow the freight routes. Across the towns we cover that means M1 J45, M62 J27, M621, A1(M), A63 and A647, which is where single-let distribution stock concentrates.
The government's planning database records 170 solar schemes in West Yorkshire totalling 550 MW, of which 8 are already operational and 17 of the schemes in our covered postcode districts are roof mounted. Source: Renewable Energy Planning Database, Q1 2026.
Connections across the county run through Northern Powergrid. Anything above 3.68 kW per phase needs a G99 application, and the export limit they offer shapes the design, so we ask the question before the array is sized rather than after.
- Leeds 830 kWh/kWp
- Bradford 817 kWh/kWp
- Huddersfield 811 kWh/kWp
- Wakefield 837 kWh/kWp
- Halifax 812 kWh/kWp
- Dewsbury 835 kWh/kWp
- Pontefract 846 kWh/kWp
- Ilkley 813 kWh/kWp
